As part of the promotion and monitoring activities of the National Erasmus + Office, the NEO team visited the University of Biskra from the 7th to the 9th of April 2019.

On April 7th, the NEO conducted a monitoring of the CBHE ICMED project with the presence of a representative from the University of Science and Technology of Oran (USTO) who is also a partner in this project.

The ICMED project aims to strengthen the capacity of higher education staff in Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia in the management and implementation of International Mobility Loans projects through the implementation of a comprehensive training program promoting the sharing of information and best practices.

During the morning of April 8th, the NEO team conducted a monitoring of the International Mobilities of Credits (ICM) projects followed by a meeting with the rector of the University, Prof. Ahmed BOUTARFAIA.

The afternoon was devoted to monitoring the AFREQEN project with the presence of five representatives of the National Agronomic School (ENSA), project partner in Algeria.

The main objective of the AFREQEN project is to increase the adaptability of the higher and vocational education system in Algeria, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Morocco, Senegal and Tunisia in the field of renewable energies and the environment.

On April 9th, 2019, the NEO facilitated an information and awareness session on the international dimension of the Erasmus + program for an audience of 95 people composed of: Mr. Rector, Vice Rectors, Deans and Vices Deans, administrative staff / academic and students of the University of Biskra.

The University of Biskra took the opportunity to present the two CBHE projects, during the information session, in which it is a partner: ICMED and AFREQEN, with the participation of the two institutional coordinators of the AFREQEN project of the University of Biksra and ENSA as well as ICM projects at the University level.

In the afternoon, the NEO team visited the Department of Agricultural Sciences, where the equipment acquired under the CBHE AFREQEN project and the Tempus QESAMED project are installed.
